    I Hate Thieves!!!!!!!!!!!

Dropped my boat off this past weekend for impeller and oil change at the local marina. Was supposed to pick it up this evening so when the call came in this morning I thought it was saying my boat was done. Not....thieves hit the lot last night with about 10 boats involved. It did not help that it rained all day yesterday so not only am I dealing with theft, but also a nice layer of red clay mud on my boat. They cut the rope on my cover draw string, ripped an Alpine 12" sub and box from under observer seat, and pulled the side cushion out of the fiberglass on the drivers side. My amp rack was right next to the sub and had $1,000 worth of amps just sitting there that they left???? Also, why rip the side cushion off unless they were trying to get the interior speaker out? All in all, it could have been worse.

When my buddy came to haul my boat for me last weekend, he asked why I took my 4 Wetsound tower speakers off. I said because taking 8 bolts off would be a lot better than replacing all those speakers. Boy, am I glad I went to the trouble of taking them off now!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear that. Will insurance cover any of it? Hopefully the marina has them on camera.

That's a major drag, of the all stupid things I did when I was kid, I am glad that is one thing my parents never tolerated. Obviously not a calculated job or very bright crew, but still sucks to live a life knowing you're a loser.
On the bright side, maybe you can upgrade?

Thieves always make you scratch your head when they take things. They don't take logical things because they are not smart people. They usually take things that have some worth and leave the things that have the most worth.

When I was 16 I had a beautiful 1989 Dodge Daytona. Those just so happen to be the easiest car in the world to break into with a slim jim tool. They stole my new head unit. They removed the radio trim bezel, removed the radio, replaced the trim bezel with all screws, and locked the door before they left . Smart asses.

Sorry your boat got hit! Hopefully you get it rocking before warm weather hits.

Thanks guys. The marina felt terrible so they said add up replcaement costs and cut me a check when I went to pick my boat up...no questions asked. They did not have cameras so my stuff is long gone, but I am more upset with them pulling my side cushion out. I got it home last night and it cracked the backside of the cushion pulling out most of the anchor bolts. I got it put back together and it is holding decently. I am a big believer in Karma so I am sure these guys will get theirs someday.

On the bright side, service is done and boat going on the lift this weekend and looking forward to a great summer on the water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stand corrected. You are right. As far as karma goes, I believe in it as we'll but living a life that leaves you stealing what you can't earn on your own must be miserable in itself.

Agreed. I would not have been as upset with them stealing my stuff, but dont damage my boat in the process. I am sure if I saw how these guys live, I would probably end up feeling sorry for them.

I would feel sad at the choices they have made with their lives and that they appear to be willing to sacrifice their souls for a few thousand dollars, but I would not feel sorry for them. Their lives probably suck because they are thieves, not the other way around. They are not stealing bread to keep from starving.

Glad to hear the dealer took care of you. Usually once you drop off your boat to a dealer it's their responsibility should anything happen to your property. That's part of their insurance.

Yes, he mentioned another customer fussing about a $70 depthfinder that he as replacing with a brand new one and the guy still wanted something extra. He mentioned that it clearly states on the workorder that they are not responsible for theft or vandalism. Stand up people for sure.

On a more positive note, put the boat in the water yesterday and had a great day on the lake. Now she is finally on the boat lift where she belongs so here is to a great spring/summer!!!!!
