The other day I noticed that there was a excess of saltwater in the bilge so I checked around the engine area and transmission and saw a lot of salt on the transmission area right where it switches back. It doesn't leak in idle or neutral but when I get on plane water just starts spraying everywhere. Is the seal where the shaft goes through the boat leaking and the water is just being shot up the shaft or is it something worse?

I don't have 'G' experience, but that sounds like a hose or seal somewhere that is failing under pressure. The stuffing box should be a dripless so you should not get any water in there, if I am correct. At any rate, it should be a warranty issue and I would take it in. Some dealers will void any warranty if you work on it yourself. my .02
Good luck!
Salt is the devil, but when that's all you have - you gotta do whatcha gotta do.

Yes. Not a big deal. Take the boat back to your dealer to confirm the problem and have them adjust it if it is leaking under a load.

Tech at the dealership I work for had to make an adjustment to the packing on a g23 last week. The engine did not need to be removed.

Your dealer can call correct craft and have their tech support give them any help needed on the corrective action for the packing
