    220 vs 226 surf wake.

This year we traded in our 226 for a 220. I have removed the factory tank on the 220 and running the one 1100 in the corner. Almost the same as we ran in our 226. Only diffenrce is that we ran the 1100 on top of the factory tank but could not get all the way full. I have to say I think the 226 had a better surf wake. 220 is STEEP but not as clean as the 226 and I think the 226 taller. Still playing with the 220. Looks like I'm going to have to buy more sacs!!! I feel like the 226 is a very underestimated boat and kinda miss mine!

I just purchased a 06 226 which has the right hand turning prop. I have yet to try to surf but from what I've read it is hard to get the port side wake to run clean. What year was your 226 and what side did you surf? What was your setup with extra sacs?

Ours was a 2003 Team. Port side was too but we mostly surf Starboard or Goofy. We used an 1100 Fat sac in the walk through of the transom and the factory tank. Surfs pretty good. I think that there is a photo on on the the old threads from last year.
