Good way to ruin a 196

Was this fitted by a blind man? Did no one ever tell them it looked a little odd?
I dont mind a tower on a ski boat but this is a bit far gone............

I believe the owner of this boat made a post one time and a discusion started as to why he mounted it like that. I could be wrong but you may find the thread somewhere. Side note: Towers belong on wake boats anyway!!!

A tower on a closed bow ski boat makes me wince anyway, this just makes me cry.

My thought: If you need a tower on a CB ski boat you bought the wrong boat to begin with.

Yikes! Looks like it could easily collapse backwards with a hard wakeboard cut. Must be interesting to cut outside the wake on a slalom ski while being pulled from the pylon and catch the tower legs when you get about halfway to the first buoy.

Terrible. That tower is seriously 3 ft too far back. I bet that boat would **** near pop a wheelie bow up yanking a 250lb man out of the water if that tower were able to hold together.

This boat has made the rounds on various skier sites. Too funny!! Playground equipment doesn't belong on a CB tournament boat.

It is really not that difficult to fill holes and patch gelcoat.

Brennan...I agree with you...But...you have to look at it another way. Alot of people with older CB ski boat put towers and poles on to do just that...make it into the right boat by being able to pull a boarder with more people in the boat without the rope in the way. What's cheaper...a new tower...or an open bow wake boat....lol

I keep an X pole under the bow just for that, maybe old school but it works. On the brightside, that tower will come in pretty handy if he ever needs to pull the motor!
