"Opening Day"

Typical PNW end of April: It's been mid 30's for overnight temperatures this week and hail on the ground at home yesterday when I got home, but Friday I am surfing with my group on Lake Sammamish. As of 4/27 the water temp was 47; Air temp Friday is Forecast to be 68 (wow, gonna need sun screen).

(no sympathy from you guys reading this in the east and south -- I wonder if y'all have ever seen a dry suit except in photos!! ; )

Well we find yet another reason to love Texas!! People in our group have been in for a few weeks. My 8 year old and I both surfed this past Sunday. Air temp was about 80 water temp was reading 64 at surface. Toes started tingling a bit the deeper they got!! Gotta love Texas only 6 months of lake weather here!!

75 and sunny in Mass with low to mid 60s water last weekend. Took a quick set with boardshorts and a heater top and it was brisk but it felt great after a long winter.

Grilled out in shorts and T shirt last weekend, and today woke up to 4" of snow with 8 more on the way. In my 40 years alive, I've never seen winter hang on this long in WI.
