Good morning - I am attaching pictures of my hull as I believe Correct Craft made some changes to the hull in 2007/2008 time frame and am trying to figure out if my hull is the TSC2 or the TSC3. Please see the pics below of the transom as well as a shot from up under the Port side to see chine/channel groove that is there:

I believe you have a TSC3 because of the presence of the metal plate on the stern. I am pretty sure TSC2s had a fiberglass hump there that did the same thing as the fixed plate or having the hydrogate in the down position. One of the skiers should know for sure but I think you have a TSC3Shawn

My TSC2 has the metal plate (hydro gate), no hump. That hull looks like mine, I would say its a2.........

With the intro of the hydrogate in 06' the 196 hull was tagged TSC3, thought the same was true for the 206. What does the sticker below the windshield sides say??
Scott, the hook that was a molded part of the hull through 05' was replaced in 06' with the fixed plate. As an option that plate could be movable, IE, the Hydrogate.

Chris is right... it's a 3. All in 2006 were 3's. Funny story though, my '08 had one sticker on the hull reading 2, and 3 on the other side. QC didn't catch that one!'08 196LE (previous)

Oddly enough, I have a 2007 206, and the sticker on the port side says TSC2, and the sticker on the starboard side says TSC3. Go figure.

If it has a gate or a fixed metal place in place of the gate, its a TSC3. The TSC2 had a fiberglass lip there instead.1990 Ski Nautique

Can't wait to install the hydrogate kit in place of my fixed plate - anyone every done this? Looks to be pretty straight forward once you figure out all the parts washers, etc. There is a cut out on the drivers side gunnel when I look up under the drivers arm rest - looks like I just have to cut through the gray armrest for to install the sport shift - run the cable back to the stern and cut a hole for the cable guide to run through with 5200.Thanks!

Ive obviously never done it, but I agree that the install looks fairly straightforward based on the parts in the kit that were posted in your other thread. How much did the kit run you David, if you dont mind me asking?1990 Ski Nautique

$490 - higher than I was expecting but with 3 9 year olds that are spun up on watersports I have to pull the trigger to be able to bring the stern down and with the help of a fat sac in the trunk they can do some decent wake boarding at their age/size - and who knows, maybe I can start surfing behind it as well.
Selfishly, I was drawn to the 206 as I am getting back into good slalom shape and that is the boats primary function - additionally, I wanted a boat that my wife would feel comfortable driving (reliability - input the code and press start and she is on her way!) and add some versatility for my boys. She never felt comfortable driving the Southwind since it is all original, family history, etc. and she didn't want to "mess it up".
All in all - great boat - meets my needs and my family needs - and can't wait to see how she performs with the hydrogate and at some point - a fat sac in the trunk! Thanks!
