    Super Sport Prop Question

Hey guys I am planning to upgrade to a new prop for my super sport. My prop is a

    3 blade 14x18
    says 91 cup

I am looking at an Acme 1464 which is
    4 blade 13.5x14.25
    0.105 cup

I am wanting this prop for running 2-3000lbs of ballast. I am unsure if my prop is stock

Will I be seeing a huge difference over the prop I have on now?

Hope you guys can help! Thanks

Hey bud. I have the same prop.. 14x18 (3 blade) on my 95 SS. Doesnt plane out with ballast, period! GT-40.. (2 x 750s and a 580 in center locker).. need a new prop too this year! 14.50 max diameter will fit, a couple guys on here are running them. But suggest you have the prop/rudder plate installed too to avoid prop wash damage to the gel coat. I was looking at the 1234 (14.5 x 14.25 .105 4 blade) $548 or the 1846 (14 x 14.25 .150 4 blade) $585. Either one will work. both are going to be much better than what we have (14x18).. thats too much pitch for ballast, thats a top end prop. Between the two, cup and .5 in diameter being the difference, I think both would be awesome.. If I could find a rebuild, I would get either one. Prices are off Delta Prop site (before the PlanetNautique Discount)... let me know what you find or if you hear any good input on either... this is on my short list before we launch. (River is flooded around here.. no wake and cant launch)

I upgraded from an ACME 644 to the 1464 and noticed a HUGE difference. I have 750s in the lockers and a center locker/rear seat sac in the ski locker--so about 2100 lbs. Plus a W704 370-lb sac on the seat where needed. The 644 really struggled with that weight. The 1464 planes out easily. I have been really impressed.

Anybody ever use this prop with a Python? I don't think the big block likes to rev as high as the small blocks so I'm wondering if would be up against the rev limiter on the occasional barefoot run?

Well I bought the 1464 from a member on here.

I hope it works well. I thought the prop I had worked pretty good with the weight I had. I do have the triangle sac up front under my seat which helps it get on plane. Once I upgrade to 750s for the rear next spring and 580lb locker sac I should see the benefit running around 3000lbs
