    G23/25 warning placard removal

has anyone attempted removing all the warning placards all over their G yet? is it clean behind them or would their removal be ugly?

1 massive big one on each tower base and another in addition to the USCG by the driver.

I want to keep the standard Coast Gaurd placard.... but all those other ones look obnoxious, bright orange and yellow. just worried if I rip them off there will be a vinyle issue or an ugly hole behind them.

Use a heat gun. I always removed the warning decals on my boats.

Did you just use a heat gun ? Was it a big pain in the A$$ ? I just got mine and I am thinking about removing them also.

Heat gun is the way to go - if you don't have a heat gun use a hair dryer on high. Doesent take much - use a plastic spatula to get under a corner then pull slowly towards the front of the decal if you are pulling from the rear. Avoid pulling straight out (90 degrees from the surface) as it will tend to leave the adhesive on the surface. Goof off used sparingly on a rag will clean off the residue adhesive.
              Thanks!

The ones I'm targeting are the 3 separate obnoxious ones at the tower bases/ tower fold handle, the 2 extra ones by the driver (leaving the UsCg one) and the one up in the bow port side near the drink holders.

I don't own a G but did remove the decals from my 2010 200. The only issue I had were the ones stuck on the plastic 'chrome' interior. It looks like they ground the finish off of the part before applying the decal so it looked terrible behind. I was able to cover the ugliness with some fake 'carbon fiber' tape so it is OK. I ended up leaving the other stock sticker on the dash. Not sure if the G has similar interior trim but just wanted to share the info.
