I figure that , too much money into the NNS and possible safety issues , just look at all the stickers Nautique places on their boats. thanks, Jeff, for the update.

That is also the information that I received. Nautique is aware of the issue and is working with some source to design something to be offered in the near future.

All rumor, but I believe it to be true.

I surfed quite a bit this weekend and noticed pretty much no exhaust.. maybe I'm lucky. Still wouldn't mind turn-downs just for the slightly better noise level.
I firmly believe what you get in your face is mostly steam from the water evaporating from the hot exhaust. With that said, when doing this earlier in the morning, I definitely see a lot of it. More than likely from the cooler air temperatures - it doesn't seem to be nearly as pronounced in the afternoon heat.

Haha, funny story about that steam. My son was out on his 5th or 6th set wakeboarding so the engine was nice and warm by this time and he gets up and starts riding and my wife sees the steam coming up behind the boat and she freaks out like, "JIM! JIM! The boat is smoking!" So I got up, looked back and was like that's just steam from the exhaust. She sat down all embarrassed and then started laughing at herself.

the 2nd benefit from a redesigned exhaust will be the noise reduction... the G's are loud

I can't really say what I did or did not see when I was in Orlando. What I can say is that Nautique employees and designers read these forums and take what we say to heart. Regardless of the cost of a product (in this case a G series boat), it takes dozens of owners hundreds if not thousands of real world use hours to fine tune an idea. The fine tuning and convergence of experiences are collected here (thank you Jeff) and Nautique recognizes this and works on bettering their already amazing product. This is no different. There is no reason to worry, the situation is well in hand. I wouldn't expect that the exhaust inhalation over the next month or so will leave any of us worse for wear

I like the sound of my g25 better than my 247 (both with lsa). G25 has bit more rumble.

My LSV had the Monsoon.. it was a bit quieter at riding speeds, but the G is WAY quieter at low cruising/surfing speeds. The Monsoon's exhaust resonated LOUDLY between about 8-12mph.. it was quite annoying, actually.

dont get me wrong.... the 450 idling into the marina sounds like a tuned turbocharged V8 supercar....the sound of the V8 sounds awesome, I love it. start it at the docks and EVERYONE within earshot stares.

But I would estimate the G is nearly 2x louder than my 6.0L 247... mainly because the exhaust port is above the waterline even at idle when no ballast. with the 247 the exhaust ports were underwater at idle even without ballast.

I surf my boat 3-4hrs every weekend at 3300-3800rpm.... if you use your boat like that... you"ll want it quieter.

                            Patiently waiting....
