Maybe the latter is governed by the State...TBD.
Here are the ones I'm considering. Any comments to add or avoid would be helpful.
Alphabetical order:
Boat U.S.
Geico
Ski Safe
Travelers
Maybe State Farm but only because I know an agent that owns a Nautique.
This is perfect timing! I am currently looking to get insurance and have been reading so many mixed reviews. Looking forward to see which company prevails!

Isn't SkiSafe a site sponsor? I have been with them for 13 years, have never had a claim, so I don't have any insight to their claim service. I was in need of a copy of my policy once though, and they were able to email it to me quickly.
I am also a USAA auto/home insurance customer and was very disappointed in their insurance rates for the Ski Nautique.Scott
92 Ski Nautique

I have skisafe.Progressive had cheaper rates and didn't ask how many months per year I used the boat. Skisafe had it figured for 6 months. So reading the internet about progressive, I started hearig people having many issues with them. I checked with State Farm (whom I have everything else with) and they were quite a bit higher they said b/c most people insure boats for summer then drop the policy. I have a quote fro BoatUS which is higher, but coverages are higher. I'm still up in the air about who to choose.

Does anybody have any claims experience w/ Boaters Insurance Agency? There coverage seems to be significantly better than Progressive and cheaper. They offer seperate deductible for the trailer, unlimited coverage for on the water towing, better total losss replacement policy, and pollution liablity coverage to name a few. I will about to make a switch just looking for some feedback on their claim service. Appreciate it.

I am an Allstae agent who owns a G. So of course I am bias, but we will also put your boat in storage coverage for our insureds during their off season, which will save them even more $$$. We are a great company, with great coverage and stand behind you in the event you have a covered loss. I would not be afraid of State Farm either, for many reasons. We are number 1 & 2 in this industry for a reason and have the $$$ behind us to take care of your loss. I don't want to see you nickeled n dimed to death by your insurance, but you have a serious investment in your nauty, don't screw around with protecting your investment. Do it right n get Allstate. Wow how's that for a plug....lol...seriously though, I am serious about my boat n bought the best why wouldn't I protect it with the best company out there!
