    SV 211 vs 210

Well my wife and I had an oppertunity to drive an go throught a SV-211 Team and a 210 Team yesterday. Before getting into the boats I would have told you that the 210 Team would have been my first choice. Well I decided to take my wife and family in the 211 first and everything about the boat was great, I have small kids so I really like the idea of snap out carpet. Then we got into the 210 and boy that boat seamed alot smaller inside. My wife has decided that she likes the 211 much better then the 210 expecissly some of the features of the 211. I didn't like where the drivers cup holder is in a 211 and I really hated the valve placement for the tanks of the 210 vs the 211. I didn not get a chance to ride behind either of the boats but both wakes looked great when weighted. I'm coming from a 03 Wakesetter VLX. I would to hear everyones comments and opinions.

    Thanks.

    RE: SV 211 vs 210

I just had a chance to re-read my post and I'm sorry for the spelling and typing errors. I really think that Correct Craft should look long and hard at putting the snap out carpet into all of there boats. I just was looking at the available options on the 210 and 211 and noticed that a table cannot be put into a 211. Is the cooler option worth wild on the 211?

I would not get the cooler option as it takes up all the storage room under there and it is quite expensive for a trap door and an Igloo cooler. One thing about having little ones and a 211 verses a 210 is you can make the wake a lot smaller for them on the 211 than you can on the 210. The wake on the 211 when loaded is more than enough to get all the air time you want.

Also the snap in carpet is really nice. I have taken mine out, placed it on the back patio and shampooed it with the home carpet shampooer. While it was drying I swabed the deck inside the boat then rinsed it clean with the water hose. I love that snap in carpet.

I noticed that there was drain holes all through out the inside deck of the boat so that you can spray it down.

          aoblak,

I have a family of four and althought I like the 210, I purchased the 211. Excellent boat, Wake is great with stock ballast and can be incredible with extra weight. I too pull out my snap on carpet to clean in and I have washed the boat down inside with a garden hose. The drains work well and if you keep your boat in an enclosed space you get to avoid the musty smell.

210 or 211 - tough call....despends on what is important to you...

            the 210 -
-better wake when weighed down... big, clean, and pop at the top..
            -smaller interior
            -rides low in the water

            the 211-
-wake (weighted down)- more forgiving than the 210..dont get me wrong the 211 wake is very, very good. a little less steep, which is a good thing but the "ultimate wake" still goes to the 210 (unless i am weighing my boat wrong)
            -larger interior
            -sits higher in the water
            -does well in rough water...

in regards coming from a wakesetter (both boats)
            wakesetter has a bigger nterior
nautique has a more "stable" wake and steep wake
wakesetter has a more "rampy" wake

would really suggest getting behind both "loaded" and going from there...
            nautiqes handles better (my opinion)

              clubmyke,
I agree with you I think that the Nautiques handle better then all the Malibu's that I have owned and driven. I plan on riding behind both boats to help me make my decission, if it was just up to my wife I would be looking at ordering a 211 team in 2006, she doesn't like the size of the new Wakesetter VLX and she loved the 211 over the 210 but she knows that is a decission that we will both make on this purchase. I kind of walked into a demo day at the dealer so I wasn't prepared to ride not to mention the weather wasn't the greatest for riding.

the factory 211 wake is pretty good ( its a nautique!!!)

would suggest adding a little lead to the 211 to get the absolute best out of it..

most 210 owners that i know will run 1800 lbs to 2600 lbs of total ballast ( water ballast, sand, lead)

i have tried a lot of extra ballast weight (2300 lbs total- lead, factory, xtra bags) and less (1290 lbs total- factory & lead) and some in between with xtra bags..

the 1290 lbs combo of factory ballast and lead is the best i have tried for my 211 "so far" imo and other riders... the wake is vert & very clean...though the wake isnt as big as a "fully weighted 210" (little smaller and less vert)but it still world class

here is the best all around combo i have found for the mean time-

3 bags (40 lbs each) in each locker far back and alongside the engine
                3 bags in the bow
                2 to move around

                440 lbs + 750 (factory) = 1290 lbs

this is pretty cool imo, since a extra 440 lbs in lead for a total of 1290 lbs is pretty minisule compared to 1800 lbs -2800 lbs that others are running (more wear and tear and really, really, really bad gas mileage)

btw, ask tylero about a surfwake...he has got the biggest, cleanest around

The cooler/locker door option makes a good sub vent when you open it. The cooler itself is worthless, its probably worth $20. The 211 weighs 800lbs more than the 210, so you can figure it needs about that much less extra ballast to get the same wake.

I think the 211 is a better design when you consider everything mentioned in the posts above. I am really happy with my 211 although it has a big bump at 34/22 off with the slalom ski, the wake at 28 off is very good and it's good at 32mph/15 off too. If you want a boat that can throw a small wake on demand then go with the 211. If you want a pure wakeboard boat go with the 210.

Oh yeah, the cooler. I don't use my cooler but the side access to the huge storage compartment comes in handy so you don't have to move the passengers when grabbing a sweatshirt.

i was told by my dealer the 211 spec'd weight was a mistake...

the boat was fully loaded with gear, tower, cooler...the 226 is 2 feet longer and weighs only 30 lbs more !!!???

Did you leave something out cause 8 times 40 is 320 not 440??? Not being critical, just wanting those placements to be right so I can try it on mine.

not a problem....there are 2 lockers so that is where the missing 120 lbs went..i should have explained this better- my bad...)

                            240 lbs- 3 bags x 40lbs x 2 lockers (3 in each side locker)
120 lbs -3 bags in the bow
80 lbs - 2 bags to move around

                            440 lbs total..
