I looked at the both 211 and the 210. I ended up getting the 210. And I am a little puzzled with some of the commetns that folks make regarding the 211.
Interior size is often brought up. I don't get it, there is similar seating between the two IF you opt for the OPTIONAL rear seat in the 211.
Higher out of the water. Side of the boat to water yes, but the distances from floor to seat cusion and seat cusion to gunwale was greater for both measurements in the 210 (back seats). I don't recall the exact measurements, but it was multiple inches difference. In other words, you would be less likely to fall out of a 210 (but would also have less of a fall to the water!!).
The seats were more comfortable in the 210 (perhaps because they were taller and higher back support?). This is obviously subjective, but my dad has a bad back and he couldn't get comfortable in the 211, but was fine in the 210
The 210 was much more responsive IMO than the 211 in holeshot and turning (my opinion based on feel, not sure what actual tests would show).
My I/O had snap-in carpet, and I am glad to be rid of it. I like the look and feel of "glued-in" carpet.
I also personally don't like the walk-through transom, but could have lived with it.
The 211 was a nice boat, but I am surprised to see how many rate it better than the 210 in some areas.
Perhaps the 2005 boats are bigger than the 2004s??
