    Boat pickup delayed

I hope this isn't an omen, our boat is here and looks great but the lake test did not go well. The engines started but didn't run right. All the dealer told me is that the engine is misfiring and they are trying to do diagnostics and are in contact with PCM. The compression test was normal and they are having a tough time finding out what the cause is. It's a PCM 343. I was hoping to have it by this weekend (a long weekend) but it looks unlikely.

As for the FAE issues I posted about earlier, it looks like they were provided with some instructions to do some measurements by FAE and when they provided the measurements, they were told that the FAE wouldn't work. I think there was a mistake in the measurements since it looks just like previous SANTE210s at the transom, I have asked them to redo it and contact FAE again.

I'm disappointed but glad they found this issue before hand. The dealership is very apologetic and great to work with. Here's hoping it's an easy fix.

Fingers crossed, I can only imagine your anticipation before this day. Hope things get resolved quickly for you (and in time for the week-end!).

Well after further evaluation they are having a tough time finding the exact cause. PCM is sending a whole new engine.

Wow. And getting the engine in and out they will probably find a simple pinched wire or line somewhere. It's always something simple...I had a pinched depth sounder wire from mating of hull and deck.

That's what the dealership thinks too but they just can't find it right now. The dealership has been great. They offered me a loaner boat for the long weekend too. When researching boats the consistent message I got from all of the forums was to pick a good dealer, which is one of the reasons we went with the Nautique, as the dealer here is great.
