    surfing which side of boat?

I have now seen articles both ways. So thought I would ask. Which side folks are using? And does prop rotation matter?

Most articles suggest toes face center so regular riders would be on left port side. But I am most comfortable as wakeboarder on right/stern side.

What do most of you do for regular riders?

I think it's a little easier to learn with your toes facing the wave so that you can see the wave and people in the boat easier for instruction. I have seen people learn with their heals facing the wave as well so to each their own. In the long run it's a great idea to learn to surf on both sides with your toes and heals facing the wave.

Prop rotation does matter but it can be overcome with more weight in most cases. Almost all Nautiques prior to 07(the 210 swapped to LH starting in 06) had RH props so the wave will be easier to form on the starboard side. In 07 most v-drives got switched to LH props but I think the 226 remained RH for another year. So depending on what year and model boat you have you will have a side that is easier to form but it shouldn't take too much additional ballast to make the "offside" as good as the other side that is not fighting prop rotation.

Everyone in my group is regular other then my wife, she is goofy. Worst part is she is the loudest and owns the boat even if its in my name and I wrote the check out of my account. How does that happen? So needless to say when she's ready to ride we jump to switch set ups.

Me and the kids ride everything regular (left foot forward) on port side (toes facing the wave). Prop is left-hand. Wife rides everything goofy: snowboard, wakeboard and surfboard! (Man am I glad I plumbed in the ballast.)

4 to 1 goofy on my boat. IMO the G23 slightly favors a better wave with NSS on port side. I beat those thoughts into submission by slamming starboard side with an 1100 maxed out.

for 99.9% of folks... its not just a little easier learning toes to the wave....its a TON easier unless they are ambi or have exceptional coordination.

Anyone know prop rotation on a 2013 .. I am almost positive it is RH from riding but I can't be for certain.

We have a higher percentage of goofy than regular, 60/40. But with the NSS and the ease of switching we are all trying to learn toe and heel side both ways. Indo board helps in the off season.

Anyway, if right handed people who ride right leg forward are goofy what are left handed people who ride left leg forward?

Handedness doesn't matter. Goofy is right foot forward, and regular is left foot forward.
