This is probably a stupid question but what are you guys using the compartment under the reversible seat for ? I definitely think its a good hidden compartment in the boat for anything illegal haha but not sure what its purpose is !!

G owners, has any one got a fuel comparison between the 450 and 550 motors? still struggling on what option to go. The other one is can you run rev10s or rev410, do the 410's work with the factory bimini or do the speakers fowl on the bimini arms?

just remember , what ever you place in it will eventually get wet with that tidal wave coming over the back, I used to keep babes and an cleaning rag but when i went to get it one day it was soaked.I know how to avoid. but every once in awhile you have a new driver or you just need to stop fast, without a slight turn!!2013 G23 super air

I will say that the XS 550 is an AWESOME engine. With the extra 1000 pounds of ballast over the 450, I'm running at about 500 fewer rpms. Hole shot and turn arounds are no problem at all. The boat typically doesn't fall below 21 mph in a fairly tight turn around. Top speed, empty, is only about 3 mph more than the ZR 450. She tops out at about 42 mph, with the factory prop.
If your going to be staying at or below factory ballast + <2000 (extra ballast and people), then I think the 450 is fine. If you want to run more than 2000 pounds extra, then I'd say consider the 550.2018 SAN G23 XR550

McFarland I learned that on the test drive haha whoops !! Rookie G mistake for sure lol
BradW Rev410s will not work with factory bimini I tried to go that route. Instead I had to go with the rev10s they worked out nicely !! I do not have any info on the difference between the motor but ironj knows what he is talking about in that category for sure !

Jay - how long are your typical sets, about 30 mins? I seem to be averaging about 8-10 gallons/hour over the entire tank of fuel. That would put me about $32-$40/hour. That is about 65% wakeboard with factory ballast + 3 people, 20% wakeboard factory + 2500 pounds and 15% with stock ballast.

This isn't really an apples to apples comparison, however, as I'm running about 1000 more pounds of ballast (was running factory + 2200 extra). Seem to be running about $35-$45/set...obviously, a big factor is how much I fall. If I'm trying new stuff or am having a rough day, it'll be a bit on the higher side.
