Insurance for 550 hp G23

So progressive will not insure any boat over 500 hp. Since I have a 550 G23 being delivered within the month, I would appreciate any information that owners may have regarding who they use for insurance and approximate rates (policies, deductibles, etc). I live in AZ and we ride year round (justifying a G in my warped mind). I appreciate any information and help

I ran into the same issue, with Progressive. I am now using Boaters Choice. I think my premium is about $535/yr.

Definitely. Progressive was about $150 more per year for the ZR 450.

Coverages can be so different it can easily be a $300-400 delta. Replacement cost vs. depreciated value is a big one. Liability limits, deduuctibles etc. Just quoting a premium number is pretty misleading. I think mine is $700-800 a year but includes good coverage limits, reasonable deductibles, towing and even freeze protection. I ended up with Geico (Seaworthy) because my old carrier (progressive) would not insure the 550 hp motor.

In my case, both boats/policies were based on replacement cost (obviously the 550hp is at a higher value). Deductibles are the same as well...$1000. Liability coverage is very close, if not the same.
