Good Deal..... If we decide to come down maybe there will be a way to walk over where you guys will be, and check out the G's. I haven't seen the inside of one in person yet, Only the outside of the one at Whitelake.

jrz1, are they going to be riding in the section of lake between cornelius rd and perth? it looks like there's a small ramp to drop in right below preston rd off cornelius ...

I don't know for sure but I don't think that's a public ramp. There used to be mobile homes on that land so I think it's probably private. Would make sense if that were the land they were using to host the event though.

If you just follow Cornelius further west a bit, turn left on Perth and then right on Stumpy Creek, there's a large public access area right there.

Just spoke to Chris Bischoff, the Competition Director at World Sports & Marketing. He said they will have an area for boats to tie up and watch the competition from the water. Closest ramp near there is Stumpy Creek. Less than a 5 min boat ride. There is a bridge to go under that is pretty low given how high the water is. May need to lower towers to get under - not sure.

@JRZ1, did Chris give any indication of where the boat lineup would be? From what I understood, they were going to line them up in an "end zone" type of view and would only get a start and end of run view, comments?
Were you able to participate w/some of GM's crew?

Got a note back from Chris Bischoff that the viewing area for boats wishing to view from the water will be the same setup as the Atlanta/Acworth stop.

Maybe a change of plans for us! If you see a Orange/SC 230 stop by and say hi!

I have about ten extra tickets for Saturday if anyone needs them. Not sure if you need them on boats though. I'll bring them with me just in case. If anyone wants to ride behind the PN G23 before the main event, let me know!

OMG - I would kill to ride behind the G23, but I'll be flying out there so I wont have a board or vest or anything . I should have thought of this ahead of time and shipped my board to me. I would love to see the inside of the boat again. Since I saw one at the boat show here in WI I've wanted to be back in one again so bad. This might sound like a dumb question - but how do I know who you are or which boat is the PN boat? I will PM you my number if you're interested letting me and my wife check it out please shoot me a text or give me a ring! We'll be flying into Columbia firday night and driving up in a rental car saturday morning.

They will line up the boat "line" parallel to the course, so you can get a close up view of the majority of their run. It's rough because of the wakes, bring BIG bumpers!

Jeff, would love to hook up and see the PN boat in person, and to meet some other members. I can PM my mobile #, or ? What time are you planning to arrive on Saturday? Weather looks to be very good for a change!

Ok, here's what I think I am going to do. Let me know what you guys think.

It is about a six hour ride from my house to the place where the Pro Tour is happening. Since it takes so long to get there, and I am already scheduled to be out riding until dark on Lake Anna in VA tonight (meaning it will be 9:30 or so before I get home, and after 10 when the boat is all put away), I think I will leave my house around 8:00 AM instead of super early on Saturday. I plan to keep the boat on the trailer until after Pro Men finish (around 5:30 or so on Saturday). Then whoever wants to come out can come with me to the Stumpy Creek launch and we'll put the boat in and ride as long as you want (or until there is no more light).

I see that some of you don't have equipment, and that is NO PROBLEM! Hyperlite has hooked me up with plenty of gear that you all are welcome to use. I have a Murray, a Marek, a Syn, a Roam, a State, and a Broadcast Surfer, a number of vests, good ropes, etc. If you want to ride but don't have equipment, no worries! If you just want to come out and ride in the boat, that's fine too! If you do have vests with you, please bring them (I have 7 or so, but if more people want to come along, we'll need additional vests). If we need to go in shifts, that's fine too.

Sound OK? That way I am not rushed to get down there in the early morning, get the boat in the water, and wonder about where I will be able to anchor to see the tour and stuff. I think this is a good plan. What do you guys think?

Sounds like a good plan to me, we'll most likely watch from the shore, and I'll bring a vest and start trying to find you near the end of the tourney...

apparently water is so high, getting under small bridge between stumpy creek access and the event is tough. At a minimum need to lower tower. I'm going to try in my pontoon. Large white sided Premier with a evinrude 250 if anyone sees us and wants to get view from water.
