    Used boat information needed

I am looking to purchase a used 210. I am concerned with motor size differences. Is the base motor good, or do I need to look for one with an upgraded motor size? Also what are the main differences b/t 210 and 230? I have only rode in 210. Thanks in advance for the advice.

I take it you are looking at the '08 and newer 210 in comparison to 230? Check the Nautique web site for basic differences in length, beam, weight and seating capacity. http://www.nautique.com/models/compare/

If you need the space for larger groups you might want to check out the 230.

I am on my second Nautique -- first had the upgraded motor "ZR-6" 6.0 liter 375 hp; this one on my 210 has the stock 5.7 liter 343 Excalibur and each one did just fine. It is a $$ upgrade that you might pay for but not actually realize a benefit if you are an average user -- esp with a 210. Torque curves are pretty similar, I believe the ZR has a higher top end speed. I am sure there are some 230 owners that prefer having the larger engine, but I think the right propeller can help deal with typical loads.

I had a 230 with the 343 excal and it did just fine, even with a some extra weight. 230 is much more spacious than 210 IMO.

If you can get a great deal on the zr6 then sure but the 343 is great and IMO uses considerably less fuel. Never had a 210 or 230 but from what I have read the 210 sounds like the real deal for boarding and the 230 obviously bigger is a better ride in the rough water not to mention the interior space if you have more people.

Going from my 05 210 to a friend's 07 210 with the same motor, I was disappointed in the power of his boat. My 05 has way more pep. His boat weighs more than mine. You need to drive one and see for yourself.

My 07 had the 330 and my 09 has the 343. I dont think i can acctualy "feel" 13hp, but I think the 343 performs great. We add about 1500lbs on top of the stock ballast too. I have used a couple different props and they seem to make a bigger difference than engine option in the 210.
