Has anyone had problems with the prop shaft or the propeller falling off? I was under the impression that there were a faulty batch of prop shafts initially, but that problem had been addressed and was no longer an issue. Was this an incorrect assumption?

And if more information can be provided regarding the stereo grounding issues. I have no problem asking questions on touchy subjects, especially for what these boats cost, but I want to make sure the points I am trying to address are not isolated incidents and are actually occurring in several boats

Stalling / low idle... Electronics effect this, likely a harder load on the alternator, like when all 3 pumps are going +stereo+ fan + 12v Tsunami. I've had 2 stalls in 30hrs.. And 3-5 hiccups where the idle got so low that I thought it would stall andthe engine "burped, chugged" and caught up. Not the biggest deal, seems like a minor adjustment is needed, mine idles at 625rpm. Bring the idle up a tad. And yes I use good gas. 100% pure 93 oct.

grounding issues cause stereo to cut out with grounded RCAs and when using NSS.

tell them to engineer a bolt quality SS 6" downturn exhaust tip to reduce some of the sound and direct away some of the exhaust. Their answer will be it has cat converters... Yep I'm tracking, still, do YOU want to breath that? All cats do is REDUCE CO2, not eliminate. Also it's very loud with the straight shot exhaust, ESP while surfing.

tell them their toughest customer loves the boat and the 4ft NSS wave it throws. Lets get this all stuff fixed.

Haven't been to the factory yet but have a few words of advice to anyone planning on heading down to Orlando

            1. Bring $ (1$ bills and quarters) for toll booths. They seem to be everywhere down here.

            2. Make sure to stop by Performance Ski & Surf. Bill is a great guy and knows the wake and ski scene in Florida like nobody else. Travis and Danielle were also great to just sit and talk with for several hours. Performance rides a G23 and gave me great insight on what to expect. He also knows tons of the guys that are responsible for the design and quality of the boats we ride behind and shared stories about what went into the boat (some very funny anticdotes). The store is huge and has a great selection of just about anything lake related.

            3. Apparently there are molds of the hull already made for the G21 (so unofficially no longer a rumor).

            More to come later

Only the 450 has the cat converters, the 550 does not (if I recall correctly). Regardless, I think a downturned exhaust would only enhance an already amazing product. I will certainly bring it up, if only to offer it as an aftermarket option since the FAE seems not to function with the G23.

I have heard the PCM has an update for the computer that prevents the stall of the engine, but I will try to confirm that as well. I will also try to see if they are aware of the grounding problems, and if solutions are coming.

While at the boat show I talked to the sales rep about the G21. He of course said he can't disclose that information, but he followed that with, "Did you notice that they quit making the Byerly 210 this year? Scott Byerly suuurrreee loves a 21ft boat." Then he winked at me. So I'm pretty sure there will be a G21.

Just call the factory and ask or send an email....they know the drill.
Be sure to ask for any requirements like closed toe shoes, age limits, etc.

Interesting about the stalls.. lion says his has done the 'chug but not die' thing a few times - I haven't noticed it on mine yet.

Would love a turn-down exhaust tip.

Yep I'd bet that would fix it. I'd bet they messed up and set the specs for an engine at idle, without taking in to account the load of a maxed out alternator would add with pumps and everything else going. It has an awesome low idle... Wouldn't be an issue if they bumped it up another 200-300rpms.

Two extra original board racks on a G23-G25 would be a neccessarity in my opinion. Why bring out a boat with seating for +14ppl while only 4 boards can be stored on a tower?

Who goes out boarding with more than 4 or 5 riders anyway? 4hrs between sets? No thanks. But I do see the need for another set of racks, I would guess Roswell will figure out a solution pretty quick.
