So for all of you with hard tanks in your 210, 220, 0r 230, you definitely need to look at your options with ballast. Recently, I took my 220 and pulled the hard tanks (simple process) and upgraded to 1100# bags in the rear. For the belly, I obviously kept that tank but also added the arrow sac that fills the ski locker. I've found that my wakeboarding setup is perfect with one cycle of ballast in each rear, and the front completely full. I also noticed less tendency to wash either side of the wake with the bags, not the hard tanks.
Now for surfing:
Starboard is perfect with just the rear bag full, but for port, i'm a bit more greedy. I'm also over 200#s so I like a lot of push. So I've jumped a 365# bag off my 1100 under the next seat up. I'll fill the port locker, port seat, and 1-1.5 cycles in the belly for a SWEET surf wake. all going about 11.5 MPH. yes it takes about 4 cycles to fill that system, but certainly beats pumps overboard considering I have a 10-15 minute now wake zone until I hit main water so no issue there.
A word of caution when installing these. You must put support brackets on your engine firewalls. With the 1100s, it will push those boards in towards the motor. I found that my wake stabilized once I installed brackets to hold them solid.
Big thanks to N3 Boatworks who was able to hook me up with bags & fittings for a quick install. Good work Zach!
