Oil Pressure Reading on 2008 SANTE 230?

I own a 2008 SANTE 230 just purchased it 2 weeks ago. I have taken it out 3 times. I have a few questions. When I get up on plain and run about 30-35mph the oil pressure is reading around 70-90psi. It is pretty much tached out all the way. Is this normal? It makes me worry that the needle is not running at the midway point around 35-40psi. Also not that I need to have the boat go any faster but with all the balasts empty and around 5 people on the boat the speed maxes out around 38-40mph yet the speedometer goes up to 50mph. Is that the max this boat will go? Again it's plenty fast at 35mph. Sorry the boat has a ZR409

Post some pictures, I'd like to see it! I didn't take notice of my oil pressure at speed, but I know it will go more than 40mph. What prop are you running?

All depends on the prop. These boats are not made for speed, they're made for pulling power. How many RPM's are you running at WOT?

I will have to take a look at the RPM next weekend when I am out proabably around 3500-4500 rpm at that speed. Also the prop has a few dings and chips in it. Should I have it replaced or repaired. If so how would I do it? I can take pictures and post this weekend.

I had the same problem with the oil pressure. Anyone know why that would happen?

If you have dings and chips in the prop, I would get it reconditioned for sure. My 09' the oil pressure was def higher cruising, i want to say 60-70 range... Dealer said it was normal.

Was it overfilled on the last oil change by any chance? I have seen that cause high oil pressure in the past.
