My port tank did that a couple times before I added my 1/4" breather tubes. Just bend that baby back straight an pound the tube back as round as possible with a hammer or use a vice so the float will slide freely and slap it back in.

That was about the third time for me too. You r right it is at speed. I have bending them back straight down to are art with split piece of steel pipe and a vice. Between the 3 210's we have in the family it's had a work out. Your 1/4 vents I copied have made my jig unless.2008 210 SAN TE (Moonraker Yellow over Midnight Blue)

I just had a great idea to prevent bent sending units. Not anything we could do but something they should do from the factory. Why don't they put a stainless steel brace that goes from the bottom of the hard tank to the top of it inside the tank? This way the tank wouldn't suck in on itself and bend the sending unit.
