    Yes you could. Or once it gets sucked flat just open your red valve and your set.

      Flat sack with no ability to vent equals this;

        My port tank did that a couple times before I added my 1/4" breather tubes. Just bend that baby back straight an pound the tube back as round as possible with a hammer or use a vice so the float will slide freely and slap it back in.

          I'll add that I think you only have the collapsing problem when running at speed and draining at the same time.

            Yeah and we never do that. I think right now I'll just try and make sure there is air flowing through the sac.

              That was about the third time for me too. You r right it is at speed. I have bending them back straight down to are art with split piece of steel pipe and a vice. Between the 3 210's we have in the family it's had a work out. Your 1/4 vents I copied have made my jig unless.

                I just had a great idea to prevent bent sending units. Not anything we could do but something they should do from the factory. Why don't they put a stainless steel brace that goes from the bottom of the hard tank to the top of it inside the tank? This way the tank wouldn't suck in on itself and bend the sending unit.

                  I bet it's because Nautique will not implicitly endorse adding ballast by providing a safeguard like that. As I recall the owner's manual urges folks not to do it.

                    Plus overtime it would make a weak point in the tank from standing on them, weight of gear or sucking flat.

                      Well most other companies are doing it with plug and play systems. Oh well, just a thought. And the G23 has bags anyways so Nautique will probably stick with that route and do away with hard tanks completely.
