    Balast gauge wireing

Last year I was going threw some wireing And I found that the wires that powerd the stereo were the same power wires that powerd the Balast gauge's and a host of other goodies.

I found that the power source was the cause of some engine noise so I cut the wire, and made a new clean power.

But some how my balast gauges didnt work. Its been a while since I did this job. I was wonder if any one knew what whires when where so I could test.

Im sure I just need to know what and where the Power and ground wires are, What color are they at both ends. Ill make a neone for the balast gauge any one have a diagram or know?

Ill fix it when I install this

    RE: Balast gauge wireing

Purple is ignition power (wire gets power after the boat is in the run mode) black is ground, these are the wires that power the ballast gauges. Your stereo has a red wire that is also connected to the 12 volt plugs in your boat, this wire gets hot when the boat is "unlocked" (key pad code is entered and the first light is on). The yellow wire (I think this started in 03) comes right off the bilge switch on the console w/ 15 amp fuse for constaint hot. The only thing that gets constant power is the stereo.

The only thing connecting to the ballast gauges should be the purple for power, black for ground, blue for the light, and the sender wire. (brown w/ white tracer is center tank, brown is stbd tank, and orange w/ green tracer is port tank.
