for those that went from carpet to seadek, would anybody go back if you could get your money back.

I have a new 210 and some of my snaps do not line up and it drives me nuts. I also hate lifting the carpet to get at drain plug and valves.

I do have a small dog (25 lbs) that will have to be in the boat sometimes. what is easier to clean dog hairs from, carpet or seadek?

I like the sea dec better so far. It will get little nicks in it from board fins etc. so I will have to see how it holds up over time, but I like it way better than carpet so far. Small dogs I assume would be fine on it. i wonder if larger dog's claws might create more nicks? In terms of getting hair up, I am assuming sea dek would be easier to clean as hairs can't get embedded like they do in carpet but you never know if sea dec creates some bizarre static cling or something that makes hair "stick". Probably not.

So far I love it.. much easier to take care of than carpet. LIke JRZ said, we'll have to see over the long haul.. but so far it's awesome.

Agreed so far so good it's much better than carpet in every way. I just did a complete installation of SeaDek in in my 2009 230 SAN and it's so much better than carpet. You can get it wet and it no big deal supper easy to clean and much better then carpet. You can get nicks in it pretty ease so i am interested in how it holds up over the long haul as well.

I have had SeaDek on the floors of my boats for the past three years. I would never go back to carpet.
