    Tige switching from PCM

Wow! First MB now Tige dropping PCM. Is Nautique going to now be PCMs sole customer? I'm guessing these company's are making the switch due to pricing, which means PCM is gonna now need oven more money from Nautique to stay in business.

So why is PCM so much more expensive than everyone else? They're all built on the same GM platforms, right?

Big differences in the manifolds, water pump and engine controls. I wonder if PCM is not dropping these smaller manufacturers due to CC increased volume w/the G series and other models?
I wonder if CC is pursuing the same business model as MC having an exclusive supply arrangement w/ Ilmor Marine?

Well it goes back to the old you get what you pay for deal I think. I have friends that have other manufactures power plants in their boats and I have helped them with maintance stuff. PCM is just different. Seem to use better stuff on them. One other thing surffing these guys are having to add Trans oil to keep them from slipping. I thought mine was too but dealer seems to thing it's cavataion.

i dont know if i would put tige in the smaller manufactures. they put a lot of boats out there. i cant imagine cc giving them enough business that they would want to drop clients to stay at the same production vs keeping them and increasing production.

I don't know who broke up with who, but it really hurts Tige's value in my eyes.

Centurion is also a PCM powerplant now.

I had the privilege of touring the PCM factory and you can tell from the proper engineering, the time and care they put into getting these engines marine ready, that its worth it.

In this region, in the big scheme it's not.

Make me wonder if a change is coming to PCM, like dropping the ex343. That would put some of the budget boats in a new price bracket. With the G21 coming the smaller motor is going to be in less demand.

Centurion has been with PCM for a while, which to me, adds to their brand. On the 3 event side, the Carbon Pro is a nice tug. Tige may be trying to control costs, and worked out a bargain with Indmar. I'm sure with losing MC to Ilmor, they could use another partner.

I don't see them dropping the EX343 because that isn't the smallest engine they offer. They have the HO303 still and Nautique just doesn't offer it in their boats. I could, however, see them dropping the HO303.
