I doubt I would ever buy a Tige anyway but without a PCM power plant I wouldn't even consider it.

ABILENE, TX—Tige Boats and Indmar Marine Engines are partnering to engineer, build, and produce an engine that brings the boldness of a Tige inward. The new engine ultimately sets the foundation for the future of the Tige product line by exploring the unknown and eliminating all traditional expectations from a marine engine.
Not sure if folks are reading the same thing I am.... but this suggests they are working to develope 1 ENGINE, not dropping PCM. If I had to guess... it would be north of 450hp along the line of the 500hp 7.4 Illmore or perhaps a supercharged 550 ish something.
Trading PCM for Indmar would be foolish. Indmar has serious QAQC issues and arrogant customer service to boot. if you have questions about that, just search "transmission" "overheat" "alternator" " over on the Malibu Crew and you could read all day. or try to keep track of all their service advisorys and bulletins.2019 G23 450

Yep, Indmar is junk these days. The promo TXi at our lake is getting its third transmission this week. They went cheap and got away from the ZF that has been the work horse for as long as I can remember.
I don't know what it is but the Indmar engine just sounds sick to me. Its not smooth and rhythmic like the PCM, sounds like it could use some more tuning at idle.Nautique Promo Team Washington/Oregon

I have no doubt MC went away from Indmar due to quality issues. They had a solid relationship since 1986, but I'm sure they also wanted keep up their reputation. I think moving to Ilmor was a good move for them.'08 196LE (previous)
