    210 surf waves

Just thought I would share this and ask for any advice on how to make it better if it can get better. Also, people ask a lot of questions on how to set up these boats for surfing so maybe this could be the definitive "picture of wave and what your setup is that produced that picture" thread!

    Ill start:

    -2012 210 sante non NSs
    -ballast:
    •factory port full
    •750 full in port locker
    •factory belly full
    •integrated bow bag 1/2 full
    -speed: 9.8
    -hydro gate: set to 2
    -people: 4 guys ~180 #'s each, one girl 110 #'s

It seems you would get a taller wave and a bit more push with less weight in the bow.

Ya, you gotta get more weight into that rear surf corner, and a real hard lean on your surf side without NSS.

does that 750 max out that rear trunk, or do you think an 1100 would get you someone weight in there?

Integrated bow sac... Does that mean under the seats? Can you move that additional bow sac to the rear on top of the seats or perhaps under the seats on your port side?

you gotta get your speed up. 10.5 minimum.

ensure all your passengers and everything heavy is on your port side.

no more than 2/3 fuel... Full tank fights to level you back out.

Ya, speed up a tad. We are at 10.5 and above. Also is everybody on the surf side in that pic, incl stern seat on surf side? Only lite bodies in bow and you're golden

Hey, with your passenger load if you wash at 11 then there's too much ballast. Speed up a bit!

Every time I speed it up I get a "rooster tail" that comes onto the face.

Same here on my 230. I usually have to pull the hydro gate back to the full vert position to get rid of it.

My son went 11 and he's 160lbs and my friend went 12 and he is 195lbs. You gotta speed up some, 10.5 at minimum, but probably 11-12 is better. The rooster is more of a problem on the port side than the starboard side from my experience but playing with the hydro-gate will probably help get rid of it like axeman. My son and my friend both had Hydro-Gate at full vert and liked it.

Too much weight in the bow. I run the exact same setup, but only fill the stock center hard-tank. I don't fill the integrated bow sack at all. My boat is at the dealership getting NSS installed as I type! I don't surf much, but I can't wait to check this out!

I've been getting an amazing surf wave out of my 2012 210. I do have NSS.

                    Without operating the NSS.
                    Stock port full
                    400lbs in port locker
1/2 belly (too much in the belly and you'll lose height and push)
                    Hydrogate at 1.5
                    Speed at 10.4-10.5

Wave is way better with NSS.
                    All stock ballast full.
                    400lbs in port locker
                    280lbs in starboard locker
                    400lbs side seat (or passengers)
                    400 integrated bow sac.
                    Hydrogate at 1.5
                    Speed at 10.4-10.5
                    NSS at 3 or 4.

This set up allows a symetrical wave both sides. Big, clean and lots of push.

Here is a shot from Saturday. With NSS configuration. It doesn't show the great length of the wave but you can see how clean it is!

Yep thats a clean wave there. The challenge is for these guys without NSS. They gotta slam the boat real hard to the rear surf corner and lean it hard to achieve the same results without NSS.

water was 84 here this weekend

Here is what worked for us today. I don't have pics since we had 4 adults and 3 kids under 2 to deal with. First off, the wave is awesome and pretty huge for this rookie eye. I promise to get pics in the future. We had a 400lb bag sitting up in the bow, which is a must. I have an integrated bow system on delivery. I have 1100s in the back with the hard tanks removed.
                              PORT:
                              - Rear port side near full. I ran my pumps 2 cycles. Bags looked close but maybe just slightly short of full. I was too lazy to run them until the overflow went.
                              - Rear starboard I initially ran 2 cycles full and then would drain until the LINC system said it was half full.
                              - Belly tank full
                              - 400lb bag on bow seats

                              Starboard:
                              - Rear 1100s initially both filled 2 cycles. Then I dumped them until the LINC system ran down to a 650lb calculated ballast amount. I would set it up for port riding and then just drain the port side until the weight reading was 650lbs.
                              - Belly tank full
                              - 400lb bag on bow seats.

What I couldn't do was get it to make equivalent waves without adjusting the port side weighting. I need more time to adjust and believe it will be easier when I have the integrated bow bag installed and maybe less kids on the boat.

                              So much fun.

FAE going to be installed on Wednesday.
