Ski Safe! Incase you were wondering

My Progressive policy ended today at least that's what the policy read. Today meaning 12:01 this morning. Kinda in a panic cause we wanted to hit the water today and no way I'm going to the lake without coverage. It would be my luck!! I had setup a policy with Ski Safe to start tomorrow because I thought the Progressive policy went through today not 1 minute of today. My fault for not reading the fine print. So I sent Ski Safe an email to start the policy they in turn sent me one back asking a question about the boat and I explained my situation about not having coverage today. Well I ended up getting to hit the water today because of the friendly folks at Ski Safe. They simply wanted to see the Progressive policy and changed my policy start date to today. Yep full day in the sun thanks to my new friends. Might I add the service was great the policy has a higher coverage and less money per year. Thanks for your help Ski Safe!!

I can also say that ski safe provides excellent customer service. I needed proof of boat insurance and they provided that for me with a 15 minute phone call. A few questions and a payment and I had coverage the same day. Would recommend if someone is looking for boat insurance.

I bought my boat on a thur. Night in a thunderstorm wanted insurance for the 300 mile tow home. I was able to Get someone at ski safe to get my policy set for that day. Forwarded to bank and down the road we went. All happy bank seller me etc

Glad to hear that they are taking care of you all! My G is insured through White Lake's policy, but I do have a stand-up jet ski that I insure through SkiSafe. They have always been great to deal with.

I kind of feel like it is OK to own a stand-up. At least it requires a little bit of skill to ride. And I do stay off of the good water if anyone is riding or skiing. In fact I have been known to drop down into the water and just watch if there are skiers or riders on the water.

X2 on that point, we throw them in when it's too choppy to ride. they're a blast to ride when there are whitecaps...or we'll set up a course and race after everyone is off the lake for the day, a great way to work up an appetite for supper.

I don't have one and have never ridden a stand up but the ride on ones do have a great use, we run them in AZ at the AWA wakeboard comps and in CA at Canyon lake to haul in downed riders at the end of their runs and to turn away boats trying to cross the course. In fact just about every boat competition I have been to has them, much cheaper and easier to operate than a boat and less wake, you can get in fast without a huge wake and pick up the rider fast and get out of the way for the next rider.

Ya stand ups are definitely a lot of fun and require quite a bit more skill and energy than just zipping around doing donuts and tearing up the lake on a sit down. My buddy has a mid-80's 350 and a 550 that we mess with from time to time when the lake gets rolly. It's really fun to launch off of big rollers but at a safe distance from boaters and skiers of course.

I too have have and use a stand up, never go around the clean water, great work out, also fun to watch much better wake boarders try and then I get on and run circles around them.

Just insured my '89 2001 with SkiSafe. Cheaper than progressive and Geico. Good folks to deal with.

Ski safe was $100 More than USBoat and US was also$300 cheaper deductible.
It pays to shop around. I keep trying Ski Safe every year and fail.
