I had a NDT on my previous boat and thought it was a very good tower. The towers will all flex a bit, on a 97 model the deck may not be reinforced as much as the later models to handle the tower loads. NDT will be an "OEM" clone appearance wise.

1999 Pro Air Python-sold and moved away :-(
NDT is a great option. You might also look at Roswell. You could get a FCT4 or FCT5 from them if you're interested in a two-post tower.
I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.
If we can be of service to you, please contact us anytime!
I have an Aerial on mine. See my avatar. I think it looks nice although I would have mounted it on the top of the gunwales if I have it to do over again. I am not sure I would recommend them either. The hardware seems cheap and their customer service was terrible. It has pulled fine and does the job but just feels kind of cheap. You definitely get what you pay for.
I put a monster tower Mt2 on my 97 sport. To be honest I don't think it looks that good on the boat, however was a ton cheaper than the NDT.

I had a Monster 1 on my 1995 Ski Nautique. Mounted pretty well along the boat lines and did not look too bad. I will not consider putting a tower on my 1998 Ski Nautique, back to a pole with wakeboard racks if any boarders want to come in my ski boat. Of course I also happen to have the SV211 for boarding... I notice the tower on ally505's is silver and his windshield frame is black. This might be what causes the appearance issues. The corner adjustments on the monster frame also tend to shift when they get side loaded, that was the one thing that bothered me about the monster. I only owned the boat 1 year with the tower, the buyer saw the tower as a big negative but bought the boat anyway because it was so clean. In hindsight, I agree with the buyer.
Yes, no chance of banging your head on my boat! I've often thought about powder coating the legs, or maybe polish the screen surround......
I've looked at the monster MTK towers, but probably too modern for an older boat. Shipping the NDT was the killer for me, otherwise that is what I would have gone for.

I actually think that tower looks really solid on your boat. I really like the black, and, unlike most of the older nautiques, I think the monster actually fits pretty well here. I'm trying to decide on saving up a boatload (hehe) of money for a NDT, or just going with a Monster.
