1980 ski nautique.. is it worth it?

my father I'm law has a 1980 that has been sitting up for about 4 years. the floors are shot. the engine was ok when it was put up so it may be ok.. I'm a shade tree mechanic so I will tinker with it. my father in law said he wants to battle the interior. by looking at the pics. do you guys think it's worth it?

second question. I live on the coast. can this type of boat handle salt water?

If you have the money, it would be a awesome little restoration project. That boat is definitely gonna need some work though. A boat like that can handle salt but it will require more work when cleaning it. Also I flush kit is a good thing to get installed.

I'm an old school cc guy... Even have an 81. I wouldn't touch that unless I was really looking for a money/time pit.
