2008 Gauge cluster convert to 2013 on the right side of steering wheel??

In the short time that I have owned my 2008 Ski Nautique 206 it is apparent why the newer models have the Perfect Pass / speedo located over to the right of the steering wheel. Has anyone attempted swapping the guage cluster panel of a 2008 over to the 2012/13 ??? Is it even possible without alot of fab work?

Just curious - I am guessing it would take too much retrofitting but though it would be worth asking!

Going from 196 dash boards to a 200, they are so completely different that it would take a custom shop and a lot of fab to accomplish this. The new style pod does greatly enhance visibility, so I don't blame you for pondering this.
