    Water in the Ski Locker??

The "idiot on the ramp" post made me realize something. How does everyone with a v-drive get all of the water out of their boat since the ski locker is lower than the drain plug in the back? I have taken my 95 SS out only 2 times and the only way I can drain all of the water out is to remove the plug while the boat is on the ramp. This is because the boat tilts forward when on the trailer. My last boat was a 85 2001 so I didn't have this problem.

maybe the guy was draining the water out of his boat??

In my 2000 SAN there is a drain plug in the wall that seperates the ski locker from the back of the boat. I just keep that hole unpluged all the time. When I take the boat out of the water I pull the plug on the back of the boat and keep it out until I get home. By then, because of the the ups and downs on the way home, all the water drains out...

If at home, I put a trailer jack under the tongue of the trailer and then lift it till the prop gaurd is on the ground. Other than that it just drains while intransit.
