Super sport with FCT fit in my garage?

I am currently looking to purchase a 95-99 super sport. If it doesn't already have a tower I was gonna put a FCT on it but I'm worried if it will fit through my 9x7 garage door. Does anybody have any input on this?

Is that 7 feet tall by 9 feet wide or vice versa? If its 7 feet wide the trailer will be too wide. Height will be tight if its 7 feet but will probably work depending on the trailer hieght. If it has an original factory FCT(98-99) then I don't think that will fold low enough and even if it does that tower is next to impossible to fold without an extra set of hands and even with help its sketchy if you have tower tower speakers. The 00-05 FCT should fold low enough and the New Dimensions Tower should fit as well.

My 216 fits in a standard garage with the tower folded.

My 99 Sport fits in a 7' door (actually measures 6'10") so you should be fine unless you have a trailer that holds the boat higher.

Although the 9' width may be a bit tight...will measure my trailer (RamLin)- but I used to keep in in a garage with 9'6" wide door and it fit...but not with much extra clearance.

I have been able to fit my '97 SS with the tower down (not a FCT) into a single storage garage at my local self storage. The key to me was finding a spot that allowed enough room to back up pretty much in a straight line.

You luckily have the more modern FCT so if the OP finds one with a factory 98-99 tower he is going to be real close but it may fit.

Great point- I forgot about the previous tower design with the pivot at the base.

Just to clarify my garage door is 7 feet high and 9 feet wide. Ideally I want to find a super sport without a tower because I can put one on much cheaper than buying one with a tower.

Don't forget to consider the depth of you garage as a super sport on a trailer without a swing tongue will be too long. Usually you need to take the platform off and have a swing tongue to get that boat into a standard 20' deep garage bay.

So I need to find a SS with the newer tower (99-01) or find an older one without a tower and put an aftermarket tower on it. I would really like to be able to collapse and raise it on my own.

Depth of the garage is not a problem. I am lucky enough to have a detached "man cave" that's 27'x31'

this is what I'm doing now
