We had a party yesterday and took everyone surfing. The 200V threw a nice wake when loaded with people- normally we only have a few on board. We had a few folks who could not get up besides being "hardcore surfers" but plenty who took right to it. I couldn't convince people to sit in the proper spots for a nice wave but the boat hung in there anyway- here's a couple pics from the day.

Did you surf the goofy side as well? If you did, and have a pic could you post it? Beautiful boat BTW. -Marc

Surroundsound- We love it- we use it just about everyday- typically several times a day and haven't had a single regret. The surf wave is really nice when you dial it in- I changed props from the stock Acme 381 and honestly I'm thinking about switching back- the 381 seemed just a little less weight sensitive. I love skiing, wakeboarding, and surfing in the same day. It might not be a boat for a single-sport purist but the flexibility is hard to beat. Everyone who has come out on it has been impressed- I had a guy out the other day who normally wakeboards behind a 210- he obviously didn't think it had a better wake than a 210 but overall he said he was really impressed. I wouldn't change a thing about the boat (except adding NSS if it were available) and I like it more every time I use it.
As a side note, I see you are in Longview- my wife grew up there and my in-laws are still there. I'd kill for some Bodacious Barbecue!

Goofy side is about the exact same as Regular, sometimes a little washy but very surfable. Our typical setup for both sides is that sides stock ballast with a 400 in the back locker, a 400 in a nose and a bunch of people
Only thing you have to be careful for is that that nose is low since its the ski 200 hull so watch out the nose will dip with weight and waves. If you are careful though its not a problem

Is the nose a piggyback system under the seats or is it a "standard" bow bag? Also, have you tried more than 400 in the lockers..or do you have a couple of people sitting on the rear locker cushions? TIA. -Marc

Went out for a night surfing session last night. We run a 750lbs sac in the port locker on top of the hard tank- I figure I really only squeeze about 500 extra pounds in there though. I love how well the 200V surfs with just a driver on board and the little extra ballast in the locker. Someday I'll get behind a G to see what the big guys run but I'm pretty impressed with what the 200 puts out. That was my first night session and the underwater lights were pretty awesome. I need some type of light shining back though because its hard to see the aft edge of the wave when you surf back any distance from the boat. Pics soon.
To the folks running bow weight in this hull- does it make a big difference? Is it better than weight along the port side seat by the driver?
