nyryan2001, I totally agree that tweaking a surf wake takes time. It is also so dependent on weight in the boat when you surf and as you indicated, your wave shape preferences. We have 135 hours on our G23, and likely less than 20 are surfing.

Your images are a good wake without question. I know there are folks with Gs who likely have even larger wakes. I rarely surf so I do not have much to compare. The surf wake I rode behind a dialed in Enzo a few times seemed quite a bit bigger than in your images. But of course it is tough to judge a wake via images as angle affects the perception of size. I am only 5'8", but the Enzo wake was about chest high. I could actually squat down and ride under the curl. The MB wake I rode was almost as large.

Again, I am not saying that the G is not a good surf boat. It is clearly a better surf boat with the NSS and perhaps it is capable of an Enzo sized wave. I just have not seen first hand or images of a wave behind a G23 or G25 as large as the waves I rode behind and Enzo or MB. Hopefully some one who predominately surfs and has experienced the wave behind the various inboards can provide more insight.

Ya, if you are after pure raw size of the wave, here is nearly a 4ft wave, The guy back there is over 6ft...We dont surf like this often, but its is neat once in a while.

The major advantages of the G as a surf boat:

you arent dunking the bow when sac'd out under like on the other brands. High freeboard. Plow right thru and surf over chop no problem.

You dont have to lean the boat anywhere as hard like an Enzo, the delayed convergence technology is legit.

Rear facing seating, we love it

Nautique boat build and dealer quality--nuff said. Mastercraft is probrably the closest 2nd in quality and service, but their boats dont surf nearly as well. Malibu is a mess in both build quality and customer service. I dont consider myself a boat snot but it would definitly be a step down in build quality to anything else IMO.

      Disadvantages:
bigtime heavy boat requires a TON.... or 3 or weight. literally. when compared to an Enzo which requires much less weight to make a comparable wave. But the rear trunks are big enough to make it happen. ---> guzzles fuel comparatively---my 80% setup is 10-15gals/ hour depending on the specific settings for the rider.

This is OEM 3 tanks full, 1100 in the surf side trunk and 500 in the other...NCRS at 5, Surf Vert at 1....I could have put another 500-750 in the bow to reduce the prop shaft angle some. This is getting extreme, 3700-4100rpms on a 2315.

Maneuverability-- yep, it lacks, very bad left turns. I think they need a bigger or more effective rudder to grab and direct more of the prop thrust efficiently at slow/low speeds. Does anyone know if its the same rudder on all CC wakeboats?
