    2000 CC Gauges

Does anyone have a 2000 CC with the digital gauges? I've heard they were bad, but how bad are they? What about the keyless ignition? I've been looking at some newer boats out of curiosity and I personally love this era that just has the huge N on the side. Any other quirks with this boat? I realize it is the same hull as 99 but it looks like there is much more digital/electronic stuff in the dash. Were the digital gauges optional?

    M3Fan,
The biggest problem with them was the speedo and tach. The display kept fading out on them. That was the reason for the change in 2003 to Faria. I have only seen one or two keypads go out (I have worked on hundreds of these boats). Faria made an agreement with CC to cover the guages that go bad from teleflex. If you can, get a 2002 so that you can atleast get part of the 5 year warranty. Let me know if I can help you out more!!!!

      M3Fan -
I have a 2000 SAN with the digital guages. They are hard to see in direct light but have had no other issues with them. However, the hour meter stopped working middle of last year but CC replaced that under warrenty. The key pad has been great and I can't imagine going back to a key - love just being able to push the "start" button (or pad).
On a side note - I never really look at the guages because of Perfect Pass. PP was money very well spent.

I hated the huge N when it came out, but now I like it more than anything. It's funny how your taste can change like that.

I am not a big fan of the N we call them the New balance boats. I like the newest and the older ski nautique. But to each his own, they are still nautiques!

Same with me! I hated it completely when it came out, now I love it - in fact, I like it better than the newer design. Still, I wish they'd have the option to have SKI NAUTIQUE in huge letters on the side like mine!
