Acme said the same to me.

And I would say they don't understand heavily weighted boats as well as they think they do, or how we use them.

    16+ second to 23mph for a fully ballasted G23 on 2313.

13secs on a 2315. They said the difference would be negligible with just dropping cup. 3+ seconds, 19% faster to plane negligible???

and great question. Where is the 16" version of the 2315?

Since I am taking my boat on vacation next week and will be running the stock 2313 prop, I will make sure to see if I get the same 16 seconds on fully oem ballast to 23 mph

        i'd bet with the 2419, you'd see 11-12 seconds.
Have you tried the 2419 yet? I want o buy one this week but wanted to see what you though of it..

I have not... A guy over on the Malibu forum is using it... More hole shot, 1mph slower than the 2315 wide open.

if you sac out heavy with your 450 G23 and 35mph+ doesn't matter, it's a no brainer.

I'll order one this week. You going back to Malibu or getting a 550. I'm thinking about trading mine in for a 14 with the 550.

I think you are going to like that 2419. I think you will shave another 1-2 seconds off your 0-23 with full OEM ballast... And you'll be able to carry more when sac'd out. Only trade wil be a 35-36 mph top speed. My lake is so choppy, my cruise is 25-28, so it seriously wouldn't matter for me. Please let us know how it works out.

No, certainly not going back to Malibu. 4x breakdowns, 20+ other QAQC failure issues, denied, delayed and hack job service, 2x lying dealers, all within 24 months on a new boat. No Malibu dealers nearby I trust, entire Malibu leadership chain up to CEO, VPs aware and unresponsive. Malibu did not meet my expectations whatsoever.

On the contrary, Buxton and Nautique have far exceeded my expectations in every measurable area. 2014 on order, pending sale of mine.

I hear ya on the mallard poo!! Lol. I bought mine through Wilson's in Edmond. Boat never ran right! They could not fix it. I got so tired of driving up there every other month with issues. I'm toying with doing the same as you on the 14. But we are building our dream house so might have to wait another year. I just got off of the water and I think the prop will be just the ticket. I have a boat ramp in the back yard and ride 1/4 mile from the house. So top speed is not a concern. Thanks for the info.

Sorry to make this my first post and bump the thread, but what is the model number of the prop for the G23 with the 550hp engine? My parents are picking theirs up next weekend and I was trying to do some digging incase we can swap off the bat for a better prop or when we grab a spare prop we can get something less or more aggressive.

We most likely will only ride full stock ballast and 4-7 people on board, so nothing as wild as some on the site go.

My new 2419 prop showed up today. I'll try it this weekend and I'll post a detailed report.

I bought some extras and backordered a few 2315's as well since Acme was completely out of them.

                    Cheers,

                    Dusty

I'd love to hear the 0-23 time with full ballast, plus the time with additional ballast if you have any with the 2419. Also the RPMS at 23 mph.

2247 is stock. 2315 is way too agreesive. the other two that I will be testing soon are the 2249 and 2391. will also give the 2313 a go, but my gut tells me that will even be too much, as the 2315 would only top out at about 26 mph.

                          V8- awesome.

i think with the results you provide, the 2419 will be the prop of choice for anyone pushing the limits of a 2013 G23 450.

                              RPM @ 11.0mph
