I know very little about boats, but a 2001 I looked at yesterday had several inches standing in the v-drive engine block, also in the battery compartment. Is this as bad as it looks?

How high was the water? It probably won't hurt too much if it isn't deep. Mine had water up to the floor boards in the back and everything was pretty much ok except for the starter. As long as it doesn't get up onto the wiring you are probably fine. I would suggest having someone take a look at it that knows what they are doing though.Comment
