    cabin fever

It's been raining on and off for 4 days straight now and I'm getting a little bored at this point. I was looking through some pics from last weekend and thought I would share some of the surf stuff.

Please tell me how you had your ballast tanks, any extra weight and passengers set up. I've never been able to get that clean of a surf wake off of my 230. Do you have NSS??

Hi axeman, I don't have NSS. I have considered adding it, but can't get past how it looks on the back of the boat. On the 210's and 230's it comes slightly above the swim platform on the sides. It's different from a G where the hull has a recessed pocket and a nice cover over the workings. Some folks probably don't care, but I'm funny like that.

You can get a great surf wake out of your 230! I have been weighting inboard boats for a long time and have always thought the more the better. There is a point where not much benefit is gained, but I haven't found it yet on this boat.

I run #750 in the port locker over the port ballast tank with both full to the max. #250 under the port rear seat, just in front of the battery. #600 in the floor over to the port side all the way to the back. Belly tank full with a Wakemakers bow sack under the front seats completely full. To top it off, #350 in the bow walkway all the way forward. Speed is set at 11.3 (11.8 for the big boy) lol, with the wakeplate all the way up (handle back).

You can see it's plenty tall and all the upfront weight makes the pocket pretty long. I need to play around with different speeds, but it's fun like it is. That day there were 6 people and everyone was sitting on the port side. If you don't have a big crew you could put #350 on top of the port rear seat.
