Funny story from today - hope it doesn't come back to bite me

We have an 06 SANTE and My wife was pulling me and my baby girl on the tube today. She doesn't drive the boat often and probably only the 3rd time she's driven this particular boat. She made a sharp turn to come back a puck us up - I look at the boat heading our way and see her take a 4-5 wake head on. HUGE splash and water is everywhere - inside the boat and out. When I get to the boat, the bilge is pumping as hard as it can and everything is wet in the boat - everything.
Apparently she saw the wake coming and thought it would be better to power through it. Lesson learned.
Anyway, everything was fine once we got the water out. Is there anything I should worry about with all that water? I did not have time for it to fully dry before having to put the cover on.

Had the same thing happen to me but I was driving. 60 foot cruiser max plowing down the channel there was nothing stopping the wave from putting a few gallons up in the bow.

As long as it didn't flood over the tranny, you should be fine. Wasn't salt water was it?

Fresh water thankfully. Nothing was exposed that shouldn't have been (all covers were latched) except the glove box when my son was changing stations but the windshield took most of that.

Dry it out good or you may get mold.

We've all done it or had it happen... haven't taken water over the bow of the G yet (it's hard to do), but over the back occasionally.

If possible put a small fan under the cover and leave it running. Also, if you can move the seats a little where vinyl touches vinyl to let them breath in between. Mildew will start there first.

I'm sure she could do it. Let me know when you want her to drive.

This all turned out fine. I went back and dried out the carpets 2 days later and had no issues afterward.

I purchase one of those Stanley blower fans to help keep mine dry when I have to cover it wet.

My buddy puts a nice dehumidifier in his boat and covers it in the driveway. You would be amazed how much water it has in it by morning time. When my floor is finished and my carpet is actually nice I will do that. It makes the thing not smell like a boat when that thing runs under the cover all night.
