    Keeping the white white?

I'm finding myself with a scrub brush and Bio Clean trying to keep the white interior white but I'm afraid to damage it.

    What are you using?

I was just cleaning my white interior. Try the following cleaner below it seems to work better then all the rest I have tried out there. Spray some on a 10 x 10 spot and use a soft scrub brush in a clockwise motion and wipe clean with a white rag. Use different rags as you will see how much dirt builds up and you don't want to introduce the dirt back to the interior.

After you clean use a final conditioner which will bring back the shine and moisture. I have been Seat Saver Upholstery Conditioner, Babe's Boat Care Products. There might be something better I got a really good deal on a gallon of it.

    Hope this helps

Ironically I saw a post on the forum friday about a guy using a product found at the Dollar General stores called "LA's Totally Awesome". I went to 6 Dollar general stores in my town before I found one that was NOT SOLD OUT. The managers told me that they can't keep it on the shelves - I loaded up! The spray bottle a $1 and the refills were $3. I'll tell you this - I have never seen anything like it. My '94 SNOB looks literally brand new. Stains that everything else couldn't get came right off. You can dilute but I sprayed it right on (let sit a minute or so), then use a dish scrub brush dipped in water. Wiped down witha wet cloth and i couldn't believe it!! Good luck - you wont be disspaointed - nothing will work like this. I did spray a vinyl protector on afterwards.

I use Malco, but I use a counter clockwise brush motion. All these years going the wrong dang way!

TA recommends a 5-1 dilution, so I would be very cautious of using it full strength. Might not see visible damage with one use but over time may kill the vinyl. Similar to a magic sponge.

I've used Totally Awesome (full strength out of the spray bottle) for over a year now and can't say enough good things about it. I always rinse the removable cushions with a hose and really wet down the in-boat upholstery with wet rags afterwards. I follow up with 303 protectant and then it's like new. Don't forget the counter clockwise swirl. ;-) whatever you do, don't use the knuckle.

I mix it up to avoid fatigue. That now explains why some of my seats look better than the others.

You so want to use the la's totally awesome. I avoided it for a couple years. But had finally gave it a try. Use it full strength and rinse off afterwards. You don't need a brush. You will not even believe your eyes. But it does not work on mildew. For mildew you need a mildew remover.

You will be kicking yourself for not using it sooner. I was actually quite surprised. LA is totally awesome. Valley girl style.

The magic eraser is an abrasive it cleans by sanding the dirt off. The detail shops use it because its quick and works but they don't own the boat so its not their problem when the vinyl is damaged .

Agreed, I finally went down to the dollar tree in Folsom and bought like 10 bottles since it was only a dollar a piece. Really surprised how well it worked as good if not better then other products that cost $ 10 - 20 bucks. Thumbs up for a great cleaner.

I use the 303 product line - they have been around for a long time and it has always worked well for me for the last 16 years. Do not change a good thing is what I always say.
