    Upside down G23 wakeboard racks.

I have seen a couple people on here have their G23 wakeboard racks mounted upside down which makes them turn up at a lower angle giving more clearance for larger speakers.

Since I am in this situation I would like to turn mine upside down to see the difference. Anyone know the procedure and tools needed to take off just the fork assembly to flip it upside down?

I think most people just took out the 4 mounting bolts and rotated it. I don't know exactly though.

James is right, that's all there is to it. Unfortunately for me on the starboard side one of the 4 bolts was air-tooled in wrong at the factory and it immediately twisted off at the shank. Still dealing with that little headache.

Now, if Roswell could offer replacements that achieved the same thing (lower upward angle so that larger speakers can be put on the boat and the racks with boards on top can still be spun in, that would be awesome.

I did mine a couple weeks ago as I put four Rev10s on my tower. Ill take some pics when I'm at the lake this weekend. I undid the four Allen bolts inside the swivel and swapped sides. They still wouldn't fit / spin then so I undid the Allen bolts underneath the Nautique star on the rack and flipped the rack. Plenty of room for wakeboards / surfboards with boots up. Considering adding another set of Rev10s now that I have room now. Only downside is it seems like the straps take a little more of the board tension / pressure so they may not last as long.

That has a nice ring to it. We should add it to the dictionary.

Please do snap some pics and show the bolts you are referring to and close up of the racks, please. I'll have to go look at mine to get a frame of reference. Like you, I have 4 Rev 10s on my tower and would like to swung the racks in with boards on the top with boots up.

If that is the only downside, I will be happy to replace the bunnies in a few years.

Thanks. So you actually mounted them such that they point downward. In that case, make sure the strap doesn't break since it seems the boards would slide right out.

There wasn't enough room when mounted like the silver and red boat to swing the racks in with a board on top? It seems like there should have been.

No. I tried a few different ways. You might get a small surfboard in the way the red and black boat did it. It angles down but with the rubber in there they don't really slide even without the bunny. I wouldn't drive the boat without it the bunny strapped. I've had it this way for two weeks so far with no issues. Until there's a commercial solution, this seems to work fine. Also seems easier to engage the locking pin from the top since I can just pound my fist on it...
