    Wakeboard Lever on SAN

Mine is an 06, and I'm not sure what other years have it, but there is a wakeboard lever to the right if the driver. It has positions 1-3, and I have never seen any difference in the wake when using it. It actuates a metal flap behind the boat. Anyone have any insight into what this is supposed to do?

On my 2012 210, all the way aft is gate disengaged ( up). Causes the back to sit lower. If I shift it forward (1), I can see the nose drop a few inches to thus reduce the wake for slalom. Back (3) is for wakeboarding according to manual so that is how I use it.

PS: I don't really see a major difference either (running full factory ballast).

Keep pushed forward when pulling rider up. Once you've planed out, pull all the way back. Adds the vertical lip to the wake. If you are only running stock ballast - not much to notice. When you're sacked- huge difference.

Pushing it forward will also stop the porpoising you will get sometimes when crossing rollers or with a lot of weight in the rear

I use it the way Migs and Nautiquehunter describe and I also engage it to smooth the ride in choppy/rough water. I've found it mushes/foams the top of the wake when engaged at wakeboarding speeds (e.g. lever pushed forward)....I run 1800-2400lbs of ballast and it happens consistently with that amount of weight. I wouldn't describe it as adding vertical lip when disengaged...I'd describe it as destroying your wake when engaged. I don't know the impact with stock ballast.
