Factory or coversports cover

Going to get a cover for a 2013 model. Which would you all recommend. Anyone know the prices on each for a 210?

I absolutely love the factory cover they're offering these days. I like that you can tow with the tower up or down (I now ALWAYS tow with it down to keep bugs off of the tower). The cover tows great, and I have towed with it all over the east coast! Only down side is the poles, but that's a small price to pay for such a good cover.

Jeff - what are the steps you need to take to put the tower down and cover it? Does the factory Bimini need to come completely off?

jeff, u keep bimini on correct? do you unscrew front of the bimini to allow it to lay over the windshield?

On my 2013 210, I can't get the cover on over the folded down tower. I was told that I could but I couldn't get it to fit

I cannot offer a comparison with the factory cover or tell you how it works with towers, but the quality of my coversports cover has been excellent. I have had it for at least four seasons (maybe 5, can't remember) at this point and it is holding up perfectly. No poles is such a plus for me. I have towed through a virtual monsoon with it on and the boat was bone dry and the cover no worse for the wear when I got it back in the garage.

Down side is that, in the past, Brent at Coversports has been a bit hard to get in touch with, but he appears to have embraced modern technology. Even so, I never had any trouble getting him on the phone when I was ordering mine and learning how to install it. He was very helpful.

Just unscrew the two knobs, leave the back pins connected. You attach a small pole to the front edge of the bimini frame and it sits on the front floor. See attached picture for how the bimini sits with the tower down. Then the cover goes over the whole thing.

what do you use to stop the tower from bouncing around when it is folded down?

The cover holds it tight. I have towed like this from Florida to Virginia and many places in between with no issues and no movement of the tower at all. I have not tried towing with the tower down and no cover though, just for that reason.

Jimminy-crickets!!!...During the week away from the cottage, I have been REMOVING the Bimini and storing it in the garage (as to avoid a Mayfly(fish fly) infestation). Not only was this time consuming, but I also fretted scratching something lugging that behemoth off the boat' down the dock and to the the garage).

I just bought a Carver cover for my 98 Ski Nautique. It is not as nice as the Rankin I have on my 211 but at half the price I am very happy. I bought it in the performance poly guard fabric in black. For less than $400 it is a very nice drawstring cover.

I'm very picky on my covers. Always have designed custom covers for my boats. I did get the new nautique cover with my 2012 210. I was going to use it as a spare. After getting it home and playing with it. I love it. I'm not getting another cover. Also I think I will get 5-7 years out of it.

Yes I can't get mine to fit as well. I would love to see a 210 pic. Also I think I would need to take the board racks off and I'm not doing that.
