Extra Bracing welded on some 2007 Towers?

I'm noticing that there's some difference between 2007 FCT1? towers.
Some have an extra brace welded on the front, and some don't... was this a mid-year change?
I tried searching and I haven't found a 2006 with the bracing, but all 2008's I've found have it.

Why was it added? Does it make the tower stiffer?
Was there a problem without it?

Where is the extra welding? I'll admit I'm looking at this on my phone, but I can't see where this is extra.

I don't know the answer to this but there are a lot of 2006 210s out there with this tower that include the bracing.

The extra bracing is on the top-front-half; my 2006 220 does not have it.

I have a 2007 that does have it. That is wierd though and would like to know why it was added.
