    Starting issues

    Ok need more help
Problems turning over motor to start. Punch in the keycode and push start, loud "click" as if its about to turn over then dead. Dash is even blank. Re enter dash code, start & same thing...
Battery fully charged, installed new starter and went to test it. Same thing!
Motor turns over just fine when I put screwdriver across starting relay in engine compartment
No fuses or breakers are popped. Battery load tests great. Terminals are all tight on new starter

Ill swap out relay tomorrow but just seems kinda odd. Any ideas out there on what else to check??

So it starts and everything works fine when you jump the solenoid (I assume that is what you mean by relay?)? If so then that is definitely your problem. I had the same issue last year and once I replaced the solenoid I have not had any starting issues since.

Relay solenoid. $15 part at SKIDIM or NAUTIQUEPARTS (sponsor).

I keep one as a spare now just in case.

If you need to run the boat this weekend while waiting for parts, buy a $5 remote starter at any auto parts store. Key in the code and then use the remote starter to get her going. I have a key so I'm not sure how you will turn it off but it should be the "normal" way you turn the power off. I always keep a remote starter in the boat because of this. -Marc
