What is the purpose of the snap on bow cover on the old Airs / Super Airs? I have a 2002 and can't figure out what the purpose is. Is it just for towing?

I use mine every morning I go boarding. Keeps the wind out of the walk-through tunnel when underway. For me its a no-brainer to have for the boat!____________________________________________

I keep mine on for most of the spring. Also helps keep a lot of the junk and gunk out of the boat (we are surrounded by Cottonwood trees) when it is on the lift. The boat is primarily used by me and my wife or a buddy or two, we dont use the bow until mid season anyway.

Yes as others have said it is great to use during those chilly sessions. My boat has the snaps for it but the PO didn't know what happened to it when I was buying the boat. I plan to have my upholstery guy make one up for me at some point. Or I may just fab up a walkthrough air dam out of plexi-glass as that will serve the same purpose.Shawn
