Small Rubber Parts Keep Showing up in Jabsco Pumps? Help

Hey all. I have a 2007 SANTE and for the past year occasionally I have found small (1 cm long by 3 mm wide) rubber pieces in the impellers. I have the green impellers and have needed to change them out a few times because of these rubber pieces seizing them up. It is odd as they are always the same and they also look alot like the old black impellers, or atleast parts of them. Any ideas as to where these could be coming from? Cheers. John

Might be the black plastic from the core of the impeller which can wear against the housing

I thought that might be the case. Any really good ways of flushing the tanks? Thanks for the help everyone.
