Great interview, Jeff. Thanks. I have a follow-up question that maybe you (or someone else) can answer. I was glad to see Greg's comment on shake table testing. But he mentions the accessories. Do you know what the extent of the shake table test is, I.e. do they shake the entire tower system and how do they test the tower mounting system?

(....Greg Meloon: For the 2014 model year, we have introduced an all new Polk Stereo Unit which includes Bluetooth connectivity and optional Sirius antenna. Our tower speakers are designed to integrate with the tower and bimini. All tower accessories have to pass extensive testing on our shake test table to ensure that the entire package works well together.....)

1. Can the stripe be deleted and the Griffin or Star graphics added as an option on the 230 or 210?
2. Will there be major changes to the 210 and 230 in 2015?

I think it came out great. I really appreciate their willingness to participate in these interviews.

As for your specific questions, I try to stick to questions about current changes and things that are broader in scale. I also try to keep the questions relevant to the person or people being interviewed, meaning that questions that a dealer can answer with authority (like your stripe question) are usually not included when interviewing the president of the company. With a fresh redesign in 2014, it is virtually guaranteed that there will not be any major changes to the 210 and 230 for 2015.

Maybe we can get White Lake or N3 to comment about the stripe question.

I may follow up with him about that separate from the interview though, just because I am sure they expect quite a bit from their dealers and may not have direct information about the one(s) in question.

17 x 17 prop on the G series boats with 409 and 450 engines in 2014! That's INCREDIBLE! Biggest news that came out of the interview for me. I'll be very interested to see if that change makes the 409 engine a viable alternative. I doubt it will for anyone who lives at altitude, but for those of us that live at sea level, it may do it. Plus, the price savings gets the boat down quite a bit. I know that the 409 equipped G23 here in Houston can be had under $120 brand new.

Yes that new v-drive and 17 x 17 prop should make the 409 and 450s much quicker out of the hole.

Hmm sounds like a well deserved Murray icon edition will be out sometime in the future:

"There will not be another Icon Edition in the immediate future but we sure have plenty of people associated with Nautique who would deserve one. I am pretty sure we will do another edition and I have an idea who it will honor but that’s all we will say for now!"

Does anyone think the new transmission and prop set up be something available to put in 2013s?

I don't know why not. Probably wouldn't be cheap though!

I think the $ would only make sense if you needed a transmission replaced due to a warranty issue.

I am not a expert but I don't understand why they couldn't make a 16 or 17 inch prop that would work without a different v drive? There is about 3 inches of clearance on the boat where the prop is.
