    Name this part please

I lifted up my engine cover and found this near the drain plug. I hit a big wake from a wakeboard boat and I think it came off as a result of the impact. The impact was hard enough to make the engine cover bounce off the floor of the boat just high enough that the chick sitting in the passenger seat got her little toe broken when it come back down on it. She must have had her foot resting on the edge of the cover I guess.

    Boat is a 96 SN 176

Is it rubber? Almost looks like it is off the engine mount. Is there any difference in vibrations or performance?

Those **** WB boats. Oh wait I have one....

that the "seal" for the aluminum sleeve for the rudder end of the steering cable. it fits on that sleeve just aft of the clamping block.

not sure how it would've fallen off without being cut though, could it have been accidentally left off last time a steering cable was replaced?

Thanks for the info. I just want to make sure I get the right one because my boat was a one off prototype by CC that used the muffler with the spark plug in it and with fuel injection so it can shoot flames out the tailpipe. It never made production because PITA threatened a boycott. At slow speeds or sitting still when the tailpipe is under water it was burning the fish.
